Is there a way to shoot a couple geocaches to it without buying a membership again? Also, is there a good android app that helps? Quote Link to comment
+K13 Posted November 24, 2015 Share Posted November 24, 2015 Welcome back. Groundspeak has a free app that gives you the lower D/T Traditional caches. Their paid app gives you more types of caches and D/T ratings. There are other apps out there from free to $10. All the apps give you more with the $30/year for Premium membership. +K13 Posted November 24, 2015 Share Posted November 24, 2015 Sure. You can transfer the .loc files from the computer. These have limited data (no past logs among other things.) Or you can always enter the coords as waypoints by manually entering them. Quote Link to comment

You will be downloading loc files now, instead of gpx files. 2.10. How do I download geocaches to my GPS device? http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=532 I think you might have to purge your gps of all previously downloaded gpx files. There's been posts about the problems with mixing loc files and gpx files. Personally, I have created folders on the computer for the appropriate files. I save the loc or gpx file into the appropriate folder. Then I use GPSBabel to transfer them to the gps. http://www.gpsbabel.org/ I don't use GSAK, but some folks do. B.
