MEGA Events Questions

I saw it listed earlier this month. I also discovered that In NY events can only be listed up to 3 months ahead of time or 6 months if its a mega event. I also understand there was a process to make the Geobash a "Mega" listing so that it can legally be published earlier than 3 months before the date.

The ASP Geobash has been a Mega since either 2006 or 2007.

Yes as long as there is proof each year's will be a mega it will be granted mega status. I'm saying theres a process to getting the event to be listed since "Mega" event isn't an option when hiding a cache or hosting an event.

I didn't know that that was the process. Thanks for letting me know. Also, do you have any info on the MOGA event I asked about?

Do you mean this:

MOGA 2016 http://coord.info/GC5KYNP

MOGA website: http://mogageo.com/2016/

Of course. I'm wondering if the MOGA events always had the "Cache olympics" or if thats the theme.

Did you happen to notice the /2016 and the end of the website url? You can replace that with 2015 or 2014, etc, and see for yourself.

So theres a theme each year. What was it in 2012?

If nothing else, it's simple to use Google. search for "MOGA 2012"

MOGA 2012

Before you ask, here's the Groundspeak search results for the others, 2008 - 2014:
