Luckless Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I became a premium member and now I don't get geocaching.com maps. What am I doing wrong? Quote
+colleda Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 This could be one of those log out log back in situations. Quote
+The A-Team Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I became a premium member and now I don't get geocaching.com maps. What am I doing wrong? Can you define "I don't get"? What exactly is it that you could get before and can't now? Quote
+HCompleto Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Do you mean that you don't get the premium Google Maps over at geocaching.com/map ? IF this is it, open up geocaching.com/map , go on the left bar, and select "Map Preferences". A new window should then pop up and you'll be able to select "Google Maps" as the map provider. Quote
Luckless Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 I tried the above suggestions- nothing worked. When I click on map these locations or the link for geocaching.com.maps a window opens up. It displays the left side of the window which allows you to filter the caches and asks about map preferences, but I don't get any map (on the right side). Quote
+jellis Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Did you do as suggested? Log out and log back in? Because in the forum you don't show premium member though your profile does. See if completely log out and log back in helps the it recognize your new status and gets you the maps. Edited September 25, 2015 by jellis Quote
Luckless Posted September 25, 2015 Author Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) Well it updated my status in the forums and at geocaching.com, but nothing else. Still no maps. Edited September 25, 2015 by Luckless Quote
+AustinMN Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 If possible, try logging in using a different computer and on a different network. Quote
+niraD Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Are you using any plugins like NoScript that might block JavaScript? Is JavaScript disabled? Quote
+MountainWoods Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 There may be a separator bar to adjust the width of the stuff on the left compared to the stuff on the right, and it is somehow slid all the way over to the right so that the map isn't showing. It's "under" there somewhere. See if you can identify such a vertical line that separates the horizontal portions. Quote
Luckless Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 Still no maps. I logged out and in again. I tried to slide the bar to the right. It didn't move because there was nothing under there. I checked to see if Java was enabled- it was. I clicked map preferences and checked google maps as my provider. I'll try logging in from my library on a week day. So far -nothing. Quote
+Viajero Perdido Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 JavaScript, not Java. They're different. Giving a pile of information up front would've made this go smoother... Quote
Luckless Posted September 28, 2015 Author Posted September 28, 2015 I got it! One of my security safeguards was blocking it. Turned it off and I have maps. Quote
