Yay! I'm so glad it arrived on time, since I sent it so late! And you are very welcome...hope they were coins you didn't already have!

On the last day of mail before Halloween I received my other mission so this afternoon I was able to open them up with great anticipation :D and both were outstanding. Thank you to Dofferson & Longtomsilver for your coins, tags and treats, all coins that I do not have and are wonderful to look at. Now as it happens my Missions were to both of you and they will be late :ph34r: as the packages were to large to send by airmail and the post office told me 4-6 weeks (Note to self: Start missions early next year) I'll also have an update later on everyone's missions.

 

Now from Dofferson, a Speak, Friend & Trade coin and a cute Snail tag.

I go in for emergency surgery on October 5th. I would really like to join this mission as I will be laid up for 6 weeks. I haven't been in a mission in a very long time and I would love to receive geocoin mail to help keep my spirits up.

From the records I've been keeping 13 of 24 have completed their missions, 10 can be identified as enroute. BUT I have one mission person who has not responded to any emails nor has updated since asking to have a mission, I will cover that mission after allowing for some time encase it has been sent. I'll contact their mission recipient Monday.

We haven't received anything or heard of anything on its way to us but we also haven't heard anything from our recipient. Thankfully we are told by the mission leader that it did arrive.... The giving part is just as fun if not more so, so we're okay with not getting our mission, but we sure would like to see what our recipient thought, particularly since this is our first mission!

I posted awhile ago that I had received my mission and would post pictures. Sometimes life gets in the way of caching unfortunately but I still wanted to post the pictures even though they are later than I had planned.

 

I received a truly awesome mission. This is an absolutely GREAT coin and one I have wanted since I first saw it. Unfortunately since funds are low I could only wish. It was a wonderful choice because I will tell you a little secret. When I was little I wanted to be an astronaut! Thanks SO much for this coin!!!!! :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub: :wub:

Thank you for the mission, but in our case this was not a very fulfilling first mission since we didn't receive anything and didn't hear whether our recipient liked their coin. Just our luck, I guess, maybe we'll try again someday.

 

Please don't let this keep you from joining our Here Comes Wyatt Earp mission :santa:

a Couple of days ago there was a package from Kini_ont delivered to our door. While opening the package there were my wife and my cat standing beside me both curious what was in the package. The spider scared the hell out of the cat and the candy i had to rip out of the hand of my wife to be able to take a picture of all the stuff.

Well... mailed my package to Estonia on October 20 but it has not arrived at its destination yet.

told jpbarr I was glad I didn't send a puppy. No idea where the breakdown is but as I would like to ship another coin, I don't wish to have another one go missing in the post. Guessing this is not necessarily the best time of the year to send another package but then again, maybe it is the best time. Another day or so and I will look at shipping a replacement. really stinks as I think the coin that got lost would have been enjoyed.

I enjoy taking part in these missions and many of us know on this side of the pond that 90% of mail passes through Germany, as it is a central hub for international mail coming into the EU, and that Germany has a bit of a problem getting mail to it's destination. Nothing we can do about it. So for me personally, if the odd coin does not arrive on my doorstep I don't worry too much. Upsetting though it is there is nothing to be done and I don't like for the sender to have to be out of pocket on a second coin either :D
