+shetlandlover
May I ask how you find out how many of a certain coin was made? Thank you Quote Link to comment
+The GeoSpy
I don't think that there is a way to find out the exact number of coins that were made. Quote Link to comment
RuideAlmeida
...how many of a certain coin was made? You may contact the designer or producer of each geocoin, they will know. PS: On average I minted around 300 of those that I designed. Edited July 27, 2015 by RuideAlmeida Quote Link to comment
+ECplus3
1. Go to the GC trackables search page: www.geocaching.com/track/default.aspx 2. Enter a name (e.g. "Tengwar") 3. You get a search result list. This will only have the activated coins, and in this case there are a number of different mintings. I'm going to look for the red icon version. 4. Chose a trackable from the list (say 'Ann's Tengwar Geocoin'). 5. Click on its owner (Bellas Pack) and show the Trackables tab in the profile. 6. Click on the Tengwar icon in the Owned column. You are now on their list of Tengwar coins (just one). 7. Take the URL (www.geocaching.com/track/search.aspx?tx=...&o=1&uid=...) and shorten it from the end to the first "&" character (e.g. erase 'o=1&uid=...'). 8. Surf to this new link and you have the total number of Tengwar geocoins ever minted (1,754) Quote Link to comment

+Murazor
8. Surf to this new link and you have the total number of Tengwar geocoins ever minted (1,754) Note that this shows the number of codes assigned to the coin run. Not all the codes might be used so it is possible that there are in fact less coins that indicated. For example the link below shows 316 codes while there were only 300 conins made and since there will be no remint 16 codes will stay unused. http://www.geocaching.com/track/search.aspx?tx=bf4dd595-3660-4b92-91cd-b24056af2b21 Quote Link to comment

+Bhob
Just use the method explained in post #4. that will only tell you the total number of codes registered for the credit card coins it won't break it down by color or finish for that, "contact the maker" is the best bet an extreme example of this is the "CC Geocoins" that particular name includes eight different geocoins August 2005 thru March 2006 it all depends on how the coin maker does things it goes the other way, too the "pocket decoder" items have three lines - one for each finish Quote Link to comment
