eTrex 30 and notes

I want to put answers to Earthcache questions on the eTrex 30 in the field but can't find a notepad or other means to in-put text. Thanks for your help.

You can only enter a field note when you log the cache as found. There is an "add comment" button which allows you to add brief comments.

 

I'm not sure how much space is available for notes, but I suspect it's not that large.

 

Brief notes are the best, as entering a lot of text using the joystick (clicking one letter at a time) is time consuming.
