How do I get geocache description images diplayed

Hi,

Just bought an eTrex 30 GPS. All seems good, but when I view a geocache description on the device, it is text only – no images.

The multi-geocache GPX file was created by a pocket query. When I view the file on a PC the images are in the file.

How do I get the Garmin eTrex 30 to display the geocache description, including images. (for example hint images)

Thanks,

Chris

Thanks for your reply.

My eXtex 30 has a photo viewer, so it can display images.

The pocket query generated GPX file on my eTrex is 7.7 Mb. When I open the file on my PC using the software EasyGPS and select a geocache, the images are displayed. Presumably that means the images are contained in the GPX file.

This link about GPX standards confirms image can be contained in a GPX file: http://www.opencaching.us/okapi/services/caches/formatters/gpx.html

So the question remains "How do I get my eTrex 30 to display the images contained in a Geocache description?"

This is from a current GPX file:

<Groundspeak:long_description html="True">Cache description ..... A <img src="http://img.geocaching.com/cache/6483f212-b17f-44e9-95db-11d4e57ec2e7.jpg?rnd=0.3511652" alt="A" width="700" height="500" /> B <

After the cache description, there is a link to a picture "img src=" This is not a picture, but a link to a picture.

Now, very easy, just connect your eTrex to the Internet and you will be able to see the picture.

You figure out how to connect to the Internet.

If this doesn't work, how about doing some research on the following "RCH 65 Spoiler downloader". Not sure, if this is available in an English version.

Making progress. Thanks guys!

Embarrassing I did not think the images were being downloaded from links within the GPX.

Will investigate further in the directions you all suggest....

...Have investigated further. Working, job done! Thank you so much for your help.
