bug or ui oversight? - app does not keep screen awake

whilst in map or compass mode when navigating to a cache, the app does not keep the screen awake to the phone keeps turning the screen off.

this means that every x amount of seconds you need to keep walking your phone up to see your progress.

 

the old app (now called backcountry) did not do this and it kept the screen on whilst in those modes.

it would be nice to get a response from someone at Groundspeak to say that they at least acknowledge this.

We have a ticket in our backlog to look into implementing this

 

Generally speaking I can't promise we will comment on all feature requests (which this technically is). If we spend all our time responding we won't have time to actually work on the features. =P

well it wasn't clear if it was a bug or a request, as it would seem a no-brainer that a navigation app would keep the screen awake during navigation.
