+findertwo
Hello all. I use a Samsung 5 (Android) together with the premium ($10) cell phone APP from the Gooogle Play store and the Premium membership here at Geocaching.com. Everything works fine EXCEPT I can't fingure out if it's possible to enter just the cache COORDINATES to find a cache. Yesterday I solved a puzzle cache to get the missing coordinates, but I gave up trying to find how to input those numbers into my cell. Even in the 'Advanced Search' menu I didn't see the opportunity to enter just the coordinates. Help! Quote Link to comment

The two tabs are: MAP and LIST. When I pick map as the directions state, I don't see the opportunity to open a Menu Tab to enter additional information . . . all I see is a map with my blue home location dot on it with caches around me. Have I missed a step? Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
Have I missed a step? You must first select a cache and tap "Navigate". While you are navigating to a cache in the App, you can tap the Menu, shown here as three dots in the upper right corner of the App, highlighted here: For a fancy Samsung phone that doesn't have a hardware "Menu Button", the Menu icon is this three-dot icon. Or call up the Menu by long-pressing the "Task Manage" button (the two overlapping rectangles next to the phone's Home Button). Edited June 5, 2015 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
+findertwo
Here's my latest attempt at adding a waypoint as you suggested: 1) I downloaded the latest Geocaching App using the suggested procedure. The App runs different than before with my blue-dot location showing added to all the many caches around me. When I select a cache to find, it will appear at the bottom of my screen with START arrow pointing up. 2) One time only, I somehow stumbled onto adding a WAYPOINT. I put in the coordinates and gave it a name and saved it. I have not been able to find out how I did that if I wanted to add another WAYPOINT. (Help!) 3) I know it's there because I saved it . . BUT I can't find it to use it. (Help!) Quote Link to comment
+kunarion
1) I downloaded the latest Geocaching App using the suggested procedure. The App runs different than before with my blue-dot location showing added to all the many caches around me. When I select a cache to find, it will appear at the bottom of my screen with START arrow pointing up. That's the Free Official Geocaching App, not the "$10" one. It's an "Intro". You can still add waypoints, but in a different way. I somehow stumbled onto adding a WAYPOINT. I put in the coordinates and gave it a name and saved it. I have not been able to find out how I did that if I wanted to add another WAYPOINT. (Help!) One way to do this on the free App, is to tap a cache on the map, and it turns to a larger blue icon. Tap it again, and its cache description appears. In the upper right corner of the cache description is a tab called "Waypoints". Tap that and you can type new waypoints and save them. You have to follow the same steps back to the same cache description, to see the waypoints you saved for each cache. Edited June 5, 2015 by kunarion Quote Link to comment
+findertwo
So far so good. I reloaded the free Geocaching APP again just be make sure everything is in tact. I followed your steps exactly and successfully entered the new WAYPOINT information. It's new name and coordinate numbers were added and saved. Lastly, how do I get to that WAYPOINT the next time I turn on the cellphone to do Geocaching? Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
