UberGunther+Frl.Nils Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Hello, what I dislike about micros is mainly their tiny lobgook. Most of the time they are torn and you nearly always have troubles trying to put it back into the cache. I have to admit that I'm hiding Petlings too, but I thought of a new kind of lobgbook, a basic blank page, folded some times. It fits perfectly into the tube, folding it is easy and there is no need of stapling it or something similar. I would take some quality paper, write the caches name on it and would make a small FTF-section. Cachers could sign on it everywhere, I'm sure that it would be sufficient in terms of size. My question to you: What do you think of it? Would you like it as a finder or would you reckon that the CO just wanted to put least effort into it? Quote
+corupt1 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The issue would be if the finder could figure out how to refold it exactly the way you did. Also paper seems to become more and more week as you continually fold it cause it to tear. So I don't think it would be an "advantage" Quote
knowschad Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I guess I don't understand. I've found many micros where the log was simply a piece of folded paper. Nothing new about that. Am I misunderstanding you? Quote
+Mudfrog Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I guess i'm not following either. I can't imagine how a folded piece of paper can fit into a tube better than a cut to the right length, rolled up piece of paper. Wait,, are you talking maybe a fan or accordion type fold? Something like this might work well for a while but i'm not sure how well it will keep going after a lot of unfolding and folding. The bigger problem would probably be that it wouldn't get folded up properly every time. Quote
+Path Pacer Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I like the slim logbooks. Wow, that's cool. I haven't run into any of those yet. (I hate those tiny rolled-up logs, too.) Quote
+L0ne.R Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The slim logbooks are really easy to make. Stack a few sheets of paper, use an exacto knife to cut to size. Staple. To make it fancy use cardstock for the front and back cover. To make it fancier, use Word to print out the GC info you see on the logbook in the photo, on the cardstock - then stack and cut and staple. Quote
