You seem to want to maintain the status quo. I'll side with wanting to better things, even if I maybe don't agree with his methods. Nothing wrong with bettering things. He only wants to ban things he doesn't like. That's not seeking to better anything...it's seeking to mold caching into what he thinks it should be. Screw that. I refuse to suffer anyone who thinks they should dictate how the rest of the world caches. I guess you also refuse to suffer yourself, then. He was offering suggestions... he doesn't have the power to ban anything. Don't be so afraid of someone else's opinions. I am not afraid of opinion. I call out ignorant opinion. Difference. Either way, sometimes I think you just like to argue for the sake of arguing...pretty much like a troll. I am sure you'll have a sarcastic or otherwise cute reply to this, so don't leave me hanging... No, not a troll. At least, I don't see myself that way. I don't mind calling out people that like to tell others to mind their own business, though. That's all you are seeing.
+niraD Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 What makes you think another policy would help? When I've found inappropriate items in a geocache, I've simply traded for them. It's pretty easy to trade up or trade even for something of little value. It's even easier for something of negative value. Once I've traded for the items, they're mine, and I'm free to dispose of them however I think is appropriate. Problem solved. No new policy required.

It's drifted well away from the opening post into a mixed bag of subtopics. So, I am closing the thread. There were the makings of some good separate discussions on things like cache contents, education of new geocachers, etc. Wait until the weekend and, if you feel like continuing any of these sub-conversations in a respectful manner, start a new topic that is targeted to just that one issue.
