+Ben0w
I held an event three weeks ago (May, 2nd) and still there are three trackables logged in. One geocacher (I don't know him), brought and dropped them "into" the event, there they were discovered by one other cacher. But noone "retrieved" them and they were not found anymore at the event location. Two announcements didn't success. Meanwhile I archived the event and posted a note on each of those trackable listings. Should I mark those remaining trackables as lost now? Edited May 28, 2015 by Ben0w Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
Just a day or two ago, someone mentioned that trackables are now for events, instead of caches. We see many not leaving those events... Some are still entering things on the busy mega weekend, so who knows if they'll turn up. I'd give "missing" a few more weeks yet. Quote Link to comment

+dprovan
It seems like you did a great job. Now you can forget about them because they aren't your problem. I suppose theoretically it would make sense to mark them missing at some point, but I can't see any practical advantage to doing that. Unlike a cache, for an event, everyone knows it's over and done with, so there's no reason to tell the system explicitly that the travelers aren't there. Although if it makes you feel better, it's no big deal to mark them missing, either, even if someone later eventually remembers to log the grab. Quote Link to comment
