+AndrewsDK
As a Geocacher, I can't decide if I love Waymarking (I can log hundreds, dozens at least, without ever leaving home!) or hate Waymarking (I can log hundreds, dozens at least, without ever leaving home!) LOL But, it sure would be easier to find Waymarks when out and about if there was an app. I'd love to be able to get Waymarks in all those spots that Geocaches don't reside. I can go around taking random photos, but a little direction would help. Does one exist? Quote Link to comment
RuideAlmeida
Simply access www.Waymarking.com with your smartphone. Quote Link to comment
+AndrewsDK
That works, but I don't see an easy way to search for Waymarks "near me" Quote Link to comment
RuideAlmeida
That works, but I don't see an easy way to search for Waymarks "near me" Of course you are right, for the time being. You have to enter a city name, or so. Quote Link to comment
+BruceS
It is not an app but works http://www.chilehead.us/Waymarking/ for finding waymarks near you. Note, most waymarks require a photo to be uploaded when you log a visit, thus you do have to leave home. Edited May 20, 2015 by BruceS Quote Link to comment
+The A-Team
It is not an app but works http://www.chilehead.us/Waymarking/ for finding waymarks near you. Note, most waymarks require a photo to be uploaded when you log a visit, thus you do have to leave home. The forums tinker with any use of the word "Waymarking", so the above link doesn't work (the "w" gets capitalized and breaks it). Try this one instead: http://www.chilehead.us/wm I've used this many times and it works well. It's somewhat slow, but that's caused by the Waymarking website, not ChileHead's software. +AndrewsDK
The chilehead site works perfectly. Thanks! And, yes, I will have to leave the house eventually. So far I've logged all my waymarks based on photos I had from prior visits that meet the criteria. Quote Link to comment
+ChileHead
FYI, something broken recently at Waymarking.com that broke my hacky site. This version still seems to work, but if you notice something that used to work and doesn't anymore, let me know: http://geotrailsw.com/Waymarking (as normal, forums correct this to use an upper case W and it shouldn't be - I need to make a shorter alias here) Quote Link to comment
+MountainWoods
Thanks ChileHead. I do use this to locate existing waymarks. Very useful. It keeps logging me out after a short time, but I suspect that that is something in the waymarking site, and not your proxy. Edited June 10, 2015 by MountainWoods Quote Link to comment
