purple_turtle
Is there a way to find geocaches that are no longer active, but were at one point? I found a note of an old geocache (~2 years old) that no longer appears on the map. I don't know the name, just the location. Is there a way to search for a cache that was there in the past to log that old find? Quote Link to comment
+Sapience Trek
If you found an old cache logbook, you should be able to look at names in the logbook and dates, and go to that user's profile to find the cache(s) they found on that date to try and find a match. But there is no way to search for archived caches given a set of coordinates. Quote Link to comment

When you get the log from the cache, make note of the names/dates on the log. You can then search those cachers finds on that date to determine the cache name and log your find. Good luck (because old caches are usually removed from that hiding location after being archived.) Quote Link to comment
+Cachefoxxe
Some Cache owners include the GC code in the log book you can use that to look up the cache as well. Edited May 19, 2015 by CacheHunterLogan Quote Link to comment
