Adding message to my own cache

Cache was stolen and i replaced it.

How do i put a msg in the log list to tell others it has been fixed ?

On the cache page, click log your visit, then Owner Maintenance.

Type in your note that all's been fixed and you're done.

On your cache's page, click the "Log a new visit" green bar:

 

 

Then in the "Type of Log" menu bar, choose "Owner Maintenance":

 

 

Then type a message in the Comments box.

what they said. What I don't like is when COs put Owner Maintenance before or during repairs. I recently tried to find a cache and read the logs when we couldn't find it. The CO used the Owner Maintenance and said "we took the cache for repairs and let you know when it is back up"

Always disable the cache if you are doing repairs and Owner maintenance when it is fixed.

I'll add my wholehearted agreement.

Yep, one of my pet peeves, as well. Even worse is the OM saying they're definitely going to replace the cache "next Saturday", but then, of course, they don't. I've decided that some people think "OM" stands for "Owner Message".

For me as an Owner (Even though I only have 4 total) If I need to leave a Message on the Cache I'll use the Write Note. I agree that the OM log should only be done if the cache is ready and in place.
