TB Hiking Question

I have a hiking stick trackable. I think it would be awesome to track the miles of how long I hike with it but I don't think that is possible, is it?

 

I know I can visit it in the caches I visit but my concern is if I him in one area, drive to another area and hike, all those miles in-between the two caches will count (my driving miles), correct? Any way around it?

You can log a Drop and a Retrieve of your trackable on every cache you visit. Sure.

But would that track the mileage between all the caches, right? Is there a way NOT to track mileage between caches?

I'd like that too, similar to a GPSrs track log that records actual mileage that you're walking, (not as the geocrow flies) when enabled.

I don't know of anything that'd accomplish that with trackables.

I don't think you could do that automatically, but you could make visit logs on the page, and make a note of your distance and keep a running total.
