How do I add friends?

I used to be able to add friends and see their finds and track them. Has this been disabled??

It's still there.

Go to http://www.geocaching.com/my/default.aspx and in the Quick View list at the top of the page, "Your Friends" is the last link.

The other person has to have their account set to accept Friend requests.

Help Center → My Account → My Account and Profile → Friends List

2.8. Friends List - Adding a Friend

To add other geocachers to your My Friends list:

1. Log into your Geocaching.com account.

2. Visit Your Profile page at http://www.geocaching.com/my/default.aspx

3. Click on "Your Friends" located under "Quick View".

4. Enter the username of the player you'd like to add and click "Go."

5. Enter a message that will be emailed to the other player and click "Send Message."

The other player will not be added to your friend list until they accept your Friend request. You can see all pending friend requests under the "Pending Friend Request" tab located next to the "My Friends" tab.

I have a cacher's name in my Pending Friend Requests list. Does that mean that he sent me a friend request, and I missed the email, or that I sent him a friend request, but have forgotten about it?

Thanks for any help.

When you click on the list does it ask if you want to accept it? If not then you probably sent it.

Well, it looks like you are right. There appear to be 2 available actions for that cacher in the list. (There is just one name in the "list".) I can click on his name, and it opens his profile. Or I can click on the word "Cancel", which I did not want to do if the request came from him. I see no "Accept" action.

Thanks for the help.
