+B+A=K
Lately we hid a few new caches and cachers were logging that they got an alert telling them a new cache being available. I was wondering how you can do that. I have never found a way on the website to search new caches other than looking the long way on the geocache map, or how to get the alert. Somehow I was able to see a new list via an E-mail from geocache.com one time, but cant see to get back to that again. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to do this. Thanks! +J Grouchy
http://www.geocaching.com/notify/edit.aspx You have to set up a new one for each cache type and centerpoint (home location, work location, etc.). Quote Link to comment
+niraD
It's a premium feature: Instant Notifications Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
The alerts that others are referring to are 'instant notifications'. There is a quick overview about setting up notifications at the bottom of this page: https://www.geocaching.com/about/premium.aspx#anchorNotify And more detailed info in the help center article: http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=184 For the weekly email 'newsletter', it may be that you changed your settings to no longer receive them. You can go into your profile settings and select "Email Preferences". On that page are options for whether you want to receive the 'weekly newsletter' and/or the 'tips & tricks' emails. More detailed instructions on that can be found in the help center article: http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=104 Hope that helps. Quote Link to comment
+jellis
Besides what some have mentioned I created one for trads with an open set of coords. So anytime I go on a trip I change the coords to center of the area so if any new caches pop up I will know. Quote Link to comment
