Looking to meet other cachers near Dutchess Co., NY

Hi! I'm a new 'cacher living in Pawling in Dutchess County, NY. I also spend a lot of time in the Capital district (where my SO lives) and in metro NYC (where I have gigs sometimes -- I'm a musician/computer geek). I'd love to hook up with other like-minded folx in any of those areas...is there a local geocaching group? Or if not, just post to this thread or e-mail me at marnen@marnen.org. Southern Dutchess, Hopewell Jct. here...Welcome to Hudson Valley geocaching! You recently missed a great paddle/cache get together over in Ct. not too far from you. We don't have a local group YET! but more and more cachers are popping up in the area so hopefully someday soon we'll be able to create our own regional group. I go caching alot by myself or with Planet from Ct so if you'd like to join us sometime give a shout.

Perhaps a shamless plug, but you may want to comem to our 2003 NYGO State Picnic. A number of Geocachers will be there, including some from the Capital district.

when your down in the city (which TP and planet have been known to venture to) give me a holla. plus you may want to sign up for the nyc metro geocachers at http://home.earthlink.net/~dboggny/nycmetro.htm. This is an informal regional group starting up for the metro area of ny state. however, we are also a group for those in northern NJ and southern CT as we are the whole metropolitan area.
