Is it possible to search for a cache using the GC code? I don't see any way to do that with the new search feature

Just enter the GC Code in the "main" search input box -- no filters needed. You will get a list of results centered on the cache specified.

 

You can do the same thing using the search box on the Geocaching.com homepage (for logged-in accounts). But that search will take you directly to the listing for the specified cache.

Thanks. I had overlooked the search box on the home page. I am used to going directly to "quick view" and forgot it was there

I could also mention, unofficially, that there's a popular Greasemonkey script that adds a small GC Code search box at the top of every page on Geocaching.com. Handy if you use Firefox.
