Hannover, Germany – Geocaching Heaven

With the support of several significant sponsors we created the first two official GeoTours of Mainland Europe. Both Tours have been active for about a year now and we are pleased to see the positive feedback we have received for both of them.

 

The Geoheimnisse der Region Hannover GeoTour consists of 49 caches split into three parts:

• SCHAHATZSUCHE: found 5348 times with 1384 favorite points (sponsored by the local trash collection company)

• MUSIK: found 2605 times with 856 favorite points (sponsored by the city of Hannover)

• SATTELFEST: found 2676 times with 813 favorite points (sponsored by the city of Hannover)

 

“Sattelfest” was the latest addition. The caches are spread along an 80km bike path around the city of Hannover. Any Geocachers who found all 18 caches that are part of this series should be able to solve the Super Bonus.

58 Geocaches were able to collect the price so far. 200 more are waiting for the brave among you.

 

The point of the Geoheimnisse der Region Hannover GeoTour is to attract more people to Hannover. This is a leisure time activity free to all with lots of fun and even rewards.

 

SchatzhüterinGeoTour is sponsored by the Sparkasse Hannover (a local bank). This GeoTour has only 19 caches. Those Geocachers who complete all 19, will solve the final puzzle and are given the coordinates to the Safe. A beautiful trackable token is waiting for each cacher!. So far, about 100 coins were collected. No worries, we still have 200 trackables left! This GeoTour has collected 4756 “Found it” and 1556 favorite points.

This GeoTour has an entirely different purpose than the Geoheimnisse der Region Hannover GeoTour. The Sparkasse Hannover is a very active sponsor of all sorts of worthy causes. To bring more attention to each cause that the bank has sponsored, a cache was created on or near the property of that organization or cause. This included sports clubs, after school programs and charitable organizations. Some of the caches even have a QR code in the Logbook: each Geocacher who scans the code in, initiates another donation to THAT cause by the Sparkasse Hannover.

This GeoTour is favored by many not just because the caches are great but also because of the charitable aspect as well as the reward at the end.

We hope to continue to expand both tours this year … making Hannover somewhat of a geocaching hotspot!

Mit der Unterstützung von mehreren bedeutenden Sponsoren haben wir die ersten beiden offiziellen Geotours von Kontinentaleuropa geschaffen. Beide Touren sind inzwischen seit etwa einem Jahr aktiv und wir freuen uns über die positiven Rückmeldungen die wir erhalten haben.

Die Geoheimnisse der Region Hannover GeoTour besteht aus 49 Caches aufgeteilt in drei Teile:

• SCHAHATZSUCHE: 5348 mal gefunden mit 1384 favorite points (von dem örtlichen Müllabfuhr Unternehmen gesponsert)

• MUSIK: 2605 mal gefunden mit 856 favorite points (von der Stadt Hannover gesponsert)

• SATTEL: 2676 mal gefunden mit 813 favorite points (von der Stadt Hannover gesponsert)

"Sattelfest" ist der neuste Teil. Die Caches sind entlang eines 80 km langen Radwegs rund um die Stadt Hannover verteilt. Alle Geocacher, die alle 18 Caches, die Teil dieser Serie sind, gefunden haben können den Super-Bonus suchen und damit einem coolen trackable Token ergattern. 58 Geocaches konnten den Preis bis jetzt ergattern. 200 weitere warten auf die Mutigen unter euch.

Ziel der Geoheimnisse der Region Hannover Geotour ist es, mehr Menschen nach Hannover zu locken. Die GeoTour ist eine kostenfreie Freizeitbeschäftigung für alle, bringt viel Spaß und hat sogar eine Belohnung.

Die Schatzhüterin Geotour wird von der Sparkasse Hannover gefördert. Diese Geotour hat nur 19 Caches. Geocacher, die alle 19 finden, werden das letzte Rätsel lösen können und erhalten die Koordinaten für den Safe. Ein schönes trackable Token wartet auf jeder Cacher! Bisher wurden etwa 100 Coins eingesammelt. Keine Sorge, wir haben immer noch 200 Trackables über! Diese Geotour sammelte bisher 4756 "found it“ und 1556 favorite points.

Diese Geotour hat einen ganz anderen Zweck als die Geoheimnisse der Region Hannover Geotour. Die Sparkasse Hannover ist ein sehr aktiver Sponsor von allerlei wohltätigen Zwecken. Um mehr Aufmerksamkeit auf die verschiedenen Spende würdigen Organisationen zu bringen, die die Sparkasse sponsert, wurde ein Cache an oder nahe der Einrichtungen dieser Dienste oder Organisationen erstellt. Dazu gehörten Sportvereine, Kinderförderprogramme und Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen. Einige der Caches haben sogar einen QR-Code im Logbuch: jeder Geocacher, die den Code scannt, initiiert eine weitere Spende durch die Sparkasse Hannover. Diese Geotour wird von vielen favorisiert nicht nur weil die Caches klasse sind, sondern auch aufgrund des karitativen Aspektes und natürlich wegen der Belohnung am Ende.

Wir hoffen dieses Jahr wieder beide Touren zu erweitern... um Hannover ein wenig in einen Geocaching-Hotspot zu verwandeln!
