Archived Finds in Sneak Peek Advanced Search

What happened to the Sneak Peek Advanced Search? A few days ago, it was returning archived cache finds on a keyword search. Now I am only getting active cache finds. I have triple checked the filters, so that is not the issue. Please DON'T tell me Groundspeak is dropping this as an advanced search feature. I LOVE this feature, find it most useful, and was happily using it to build bookmarks for Challenge caches. Can anyone tell me what happened here? Is it just a glitch, or is it gone forever?

@Walts

Just as an example, if you are required by a challenge to have found caches where the first letter covers all possible from A to Z, it is usually allowed to have archived caches in that list. Note that the OP uses the phrase "archived cache finds", the operative word being "finds".

For those who do still not use a useful tool such as GSAK to import their "My Finds" PQ for easy sort and search, using the new search tool might have given that to them in a readily usable form. I don't know all of the many new search options available, as I have no need for the new search function, but this may well be how the OP was using it.

I don't have gsak. I don't inderstand how it works. I find projectgc clunky and hard to use. I paid for the upgrade there, but as far as I can tell there is no way to keyword search there anyway. I have to paw through a list of scripts that may or may not be what I need? Really? I have no idea what gps Bable is either.

Yes, i was using the new fearure to find key words in my Found caches. It was returning both archived and unarchived finds. Example, if a challenge cache asks for 15 caches with the word Orange. I could immediately pull up any cache I have found with the word Orange. It was a One Step process! Easy and fast. Why should I have to go to some outside website to find that? Obviously gs has the capability to do it. Why would they give it and then take it away?

I feel like someone just snatched away the best Christmas present I ever got. So disappointed.

go here http://www.geocaching.com/my/logs.aspx?s=1

which will put up all the caches you have found/DNFd/written notes for/attended whether they've been archived or not.

then use the search function in your browser (probably <ctrl>f) to search for "Orange"

As for Project GC, go here http://project-gc.com/ and enter Orange in the wildcard box then click the find button. Though I agree with your comment about not having to use external sites.

MartyBartfast, thank you for the tip on using the control F function. It does indeed bring up a little window and will highlight any word that I type in. I still have to scroll through finds, but it is better than nothing.

As to project gc, it seems to be nothing more than a glorified stat generator. Useful, but not what I am looking for. I won't pay for it again.

Archived caches will be included in results if you are searching on caches you have found (with or without keyword). They will not be included in other searches.

It doesn't do that (or do you mean that it will do so at some time in the future?).

This search https://www.geocaching.com/play/search?originomitted=True&kw=Bovine&c=11&f=1 returns a DNF but it should return http://coord.info/GCHHAH which I found on 30-Dec-2004.

It looks like the functionality was unintentionally dropped (likely as a side-effect of adding filters for archived and disabled caches for reviewers). I will let the team know.
