Editing Wherigo Cartridge not working

Hi all

I am very New to Wherigo

the step i am doing are the following

 

1 upload the GWZ file to get the Wherigo Cartridge home page

2 we back to Home Page and move down to Cartridges You've Created

3 click on EDIT link this open the Editing a Cartridge page

4 edit the page eg Change Cartridge Name add Author Name , edit Starting Location

5 DID NOT CLICK on Publish setting or Active/ inactive

 

6 Then click on Save Cartridge Details

 

then We get the an error Has Occurred

What is the Error and how do I Fix it ???

Groundspeak has discontinued the support for its own Wherigo builder long ago (look at the version and dates). The community is currently keeping Wherigo alive. There are several fixes that the community came up with to push the Groundspeak builder into the future. Search BuildingWherigoCartridges for "Google map api" and you should find the fixes.

 

I suggest that you use one of the community built builders. A list of all options can be found here http://wherigofoundation.com/builders/

Several things could be causing your problem, taybee. Check to make sure the text in the boxes is short (not more than 50 characters for names, not more than I would guess 500 characters for descriptions). Don't use HTML in the boxes. If this doesn't fix your problem, can you please share here the text you're trying to use on that page?

Look like it was the HMTL text in the Long Description giving me the error

Don't use HTML in the boxes.

This is what trips me up.

When I export from Wherigo - Kit, (my all time favorite builder), I usually get a bit of HTML in the long description.

Once I delete these, I can edit to my heart's content.
