+Geo3Boxers
I bought some geocoins off ebay a few years ago. All were unactivated. I activated them and put them in my inventory. They travel with me to caches with no intention of being released. All of a sudden one of them got a log of being in another state as a proxy coin. I still have the original and no where did I post the codes on the coins. My questions are: how does this happen? How do I get rid of the proxy? Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
Do you know it's a proxy of your coin? There's always a chance that the cache put I the wrong tracking number. Quote Link to comment
+Droo
Once you've activated the real coin and start using its tracking abilities the proxies must die. Multiple trackables being tracked on the same tracking number is very frowned on by Groundspeak and will result in the freezing the tracking number for good. Just delete the logs and send the cacher an email apologising that you are the new owner of the real coin and the proxy is no longer valid and you would appreciate it if they tossed it in the trash. +cerberus1
I didn't see any mentions of a proxy. Guess you deleted it already. That's what I would have done. Agree with T.D.M.22, probably just an logging error and it happened to come up as your coin. Quote Link to comment
