Geocaching now allowed in Catskills, etc...?

Note the PS on the latest log for this cache of mine. It's a virtual that is across the road from Tibbet's State Forest (which is a few miles east of Albany).

I've e-mailed the writer asking for additional info. Does anybody else know something about this?

I've also looked through the DEC website , press releases and regs and I can't see anything addressing geocaching one way or the other. I would say that one the most ardent opponents of Geocaching is on disability, and up till now it has been dependent on the caprices of the individual Forest Ranger. I don't know who the poster is who calls himself ranger, but he doesn't sound to me like a DEC Forest Ranger.
