I was wondering if I could waymark this, but I'm having a difficult time thinking of which category it could fit in. I thought Signs of History, but I've had similar plaques denied since they don't really give much history, other than commemorating an event on a specific date. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Thank you! citizen memorial 1 Quote
+prussel Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Last weekend we passed this memorial to the dead of the Rhön Mountain Rescue Service on a hike. There are Police and Firefighter Memorials, Maritime Monuments and Memorials, but where could this one fit? In Germany, the "Bergwacht" (Mountain rescue) is part of the German Red Cross, in Austria, for example, it is a separate society. cheers, Michael Quote
