+EJ2007 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) I just created a pocket query for only caches with the Partnership attribute. I received 23 caches near my home coordinates. http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3EY98_the-end-of-the-beginning is one of them. However when you visit the cache page the attribute is not displayed. This is the link to my PQ: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?pq=98d2b8ac-6bcb-4376-af38-9a2d5fe905c4 Edited January 9, 2015 by EJ2007 Quote

+MartyBartfast Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) I just created a PQ centred on GC3EY98, for caches with the partnership attribute (shaking hands), it too returned 25 caches, these are the closest, and the top three caches DONT show the attribute on their page, I stopped checking after that. The promotion seems to have taken place in 2012. And maybe it's run its course by now. In other words, perhaps VisitColumbusGA had declined to continue paying Groundspeak. B. Quote

But the attribute must still be set somewhere, in order for the PQ to pick them up, and if the partnership is nolonger in place someone should fix the database. On s different tack, I always though that attribute meant that the finder had to work in partnership with someone else to find the cache, so I just learned something - thanks! Quote

How did a current PQ pick up on an attribute that isn't there any more? Assuming it was there at some point in time. How do deleted attributes work? Is it buried somewhere on the cache page history/database? Interesting. B. Edited January 9, 2015 by Pup Patrol Quote

That's "Teamwork Required" -- icon looks like two people high-fiving each other. The "Partnership" attribute is confusing, and I don't really understand what purpose it serves. (Yes, I know what it means, but I don't really see the point of it.) Quote
Bon Echo Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Just did the same thing for all of Canada; PQ returned three active and enabled caches based on having the Partnership cache attribute. All three are located in BC and are owned by Parks Canada. Two were published in 2012 and do not show the Partnership cache attribute on the listing page http://coord.info/GC32CA3 http://coord.info/GC32CAG, but the third cache (published in 2011) does show the attribute: http://coord.info/GC32CCT Quote
