In the past I've just visited this thread when I'm in another country and clicked on the distinct  user names for those that have posted in it.  I don't recall if I did that when I was in South Africa a couple of months ago.  One of these day's I'll add a post has has a list of profiles that can be used to quickly add flags from just one post.  So far I don't have any international trips planned this year, which for the past 10 years or so is kind of unusual.  Last year I traveled internationally on four separate trips, visiting 8 different countries.

You will need to open the link to your flag counter page, by clicking on the counter image itself.

Within this page, you will be able to see more details of which regions you have visitors from.

I'm seeing a flag for NY (New York....where I live). 

 

Flagcounter tip:  Be sure to visit your own profile when visiting another country.   I've been to Ethiopia three times but all before I added a flag counter to my profile so don't have the Ethiopian flag.  I've also been to several other Africa countries (and have found caches in 5 of them) but only have flags for SA and Kenya. 

 

 If you could add a flag from Mozambique to my profile I'd appreciate it.

I have visited your profile in three different browsers, but none of them could load your three counter links included in your profile:

I already found out that just visiting someone's profile does not necessarily load the counter pages, as there are myriads of banners, labels, statistics and other stuff on the profile pages. And the flagcounter server seems to be not reachable sometimes. So probably you now do not have some more access counts from Germany and Mozambique.

So I'm curious what brings you to Mozambique.   I've traveled for work to Africa 8 times but not yet to Moz.

I was on a business trip, working in Maputo at the Ministry of the Interior.

 

On the way to Moz and back I was also in Johannesburg at the airport and also loaded the profiles from the above list. But I do not know if all geocachers received the flags in their counters. Some of them have profiles that are overloaded with of banners, labels, statistics and other stuff so I cannot say if their flag counter pages were loaded.

I got one from Moz.  I work with a small company in Centurion, about 40 minutes from Johannesburg on the GAU train,  on a couple of projects.   If a proposal for a new project that I would be collaborating with that organization in SA goes through, I may add Uganda to my countries list (I have already visited 6 African countries) in the next year.  The project involves a consortium of over 100 African universities so it might involve travel to other African countries as well..

Set up what you want to have display and how, and then copy and paste the entire HTML code (NOT just the URL) into your Profile page by editing the "About' section in your Profile setting page https://www.geocaching.com/account/settings/profile

 

If you want to learn more about HTML code editing, just look at the actual HTML code of other people's Profile page, study and trace what they do. Trial and error, and that is the way I've self-taught how to edit HTML over these years. ;)

The web has much much more resources on HTML coding, obviously.

 Not me.  I've been to Africa 8 times but never to western Africa. 

 

I just checked and my flag counter indicates that 3 people from Nigeria have visited my profile, the last on January 13th.  I got my first visitor  from Senegal on the 18th too.

Did anyone notice that there are no non-US profile views any longer recorded?

 

Due to the latest change in the way how images are embedded at the geocaching.com website, these counter will no longer work for counting flags (what they were designed for).

 

All profile views of all geocachers will load the embedded flag counter images via an images proxy located somewhere at the Groudspeak premises, so it will look like all profiles are never viewed from outside GS :mad:
