finally tried geocaching today

My new phone counts the steps I take. I can tell you that geocaching definitely adds to the steps I take in a day. The phone seems to think that is a good thing. Glad you are enjoying it!

I found 37 caches so far.

 

My blue jean pants fit better since I lost about 13 pounds. I think geocaching has helped me lose weight

 

I've found just over 9000 finds and I seem be growing instead

 

Maybe too many P&Gs.

I found five geocaches today. Two of them that I found today were the ones I could not find on Sunday.

 

There's nothing better than finding a cache that you previously could not find. Just wait to you find one that you've searched for and could find on multiple occasions.

 

There was one near me that I spent probably 4 hours search on three different occasions before I finally found it. Of course, it had a 4 star difficulty rating so it was *supposed* to be hard.

Way to stick with it! I gave up for a few years after I spent about 14 hours over three days looking for one particular cache. I tend to be stubborn at times and I was just unwilling to let it go and it ruined it for me. After taking a break for a few years I got back into it and love it. My kids are old enough now to accompany me and they love it too so it's become our go-to family recreation at times.

I am glad to see other people new to caching. I have been lurking on this site and forum for awhile but didn't go out for the first time until yesterday. So excited to get more finds!

Laughing at rereading this post I made about a year ago. A year later and 110 Geocaches later, I am still Geocaching.

 

I am glad I did not quit this hobby.
