Hibernating. And patiently waiting for Spring.

"... sun, sun, sun, here it comes. Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting."

--The Beatle's song, lyrics "Here Comes The Sun"

Cheers ...

? A man with a GPS receiver knows where he is; a man with two GPS receivers is never sure. ?

Hello everyone... I was not sure if anyone stoped by the boards. I am new the the sport but have been folowing it for about a year (got a gps for xmas from wife). We where going to do a cache today but the snow started icon_frown.gif . I have a few ideas for caches to hide once i get a few finds under my belt. Some possable future cache locations (Otter creek [very nice park/creek in york side of river],Peckway creek [lots of trails off the creek and some that follow the entire thing],Rail to trail off Auction road in maheim [ i think its 4-5 miles to 283 in ladisville]).

I have collected a few links of site from the local area. If you have any please post more for me please.

I no longer enjoy myself I'll look for harder more complicated ones. Right now I'm still learning to use my GPS. I've got an idea for a hichiker and am waiting for my bugs to get here. I have just started thinking of a cache - but it's going to be awhile before I do more than think.

Greetings!

Spent last week in sunny FL and scored 7 virtual and real caches. There are many hidden in Disney/MGM/Universal/SeaWorld. I wish we had planned better!

One of my pet peeves is people who put utter junk in a cache as their contribution and those who hide their caches with little or no thought.

It seems that Florida is home for a whole lot of these people. I didnt encounter an ammo can anywhere and most of the plastic tubs were soggy messes inside. We even brought one back to the hotel room to clean and dry it.

We left a traveller from York County and brought one home.

Speaking of ammo cans - I have a bunch of .50 cans

if anyone needs them. You can see a pic of what a .50 can looks like at: www.joesarmynavy.com/ ammo_box.htm I bought over 100 of them on a whim last year and Mrs Pulaski doesnt think I need that many!

Also, I'm thinking of having a geocachers picnic this spring. Maybe ammo cans would be doorprizes!!

My SEPTEMBER 11th 1777 and TRIBUTE TO THE NATICOKES caches are out. They will pop right up under a search for zip 17578.

Just a few rambling comments!

Hi Pulaski

I think a picnic would be a great event! I'm from the York area and have been thinking the

same thing. If you need any help let me know.

There are a couple cool parks that would be

great for a picnic and a special event geocache.

An event cache in this area would be cool! (although I am a tad north, in Reading)

Greetings folks!

I have gotten several replies about a cachers picnic - so - lets get one started!

I attempted a find of the CAPT MORGAN'S cache yesterday and thought that the far side pavilion would be an excellent location.

Its just a few minutes off Rt 30 going towards Millersville. Thats not too far from the Reading, Harrisburg and York areas as well as close to Lancaster. The kids playground area is nearby and the pavilion is over a small hill so the general gawking public wouldnt be staring at a bunch of people oogling GPS units and green ammo cans!!

Lets shoot for MAY or JUNE. I dug out 6 or 8 ammo cans as door prizes.

Anyone interested in helping set this up can contact me directly at hooahman@redrose.net

MissJenn & Geoscouter: Please get ahold of me so we can get this started. I will call Manor Twp and see what dates are available.

Bye for now -
