Adding Comments on Garmin Etrex

We've been using Etrex 20s for our caching for a while now. We recently went on a caching cruise and, for the first time, we started adding comments on each of the caches we found or DNF'd. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to access these comments once they've been done. We wanted to be able to refer to them when logging our finds on our return home.

Find it on your private Profile page, near bottom on right side: "Access Your Field Notes".

Follow the Garmin instructions within the link.

Ah-ha, Field Notes. I managed to bumble my way through only to find I didn't really put enough detail in the notes so I was left scratching my head trying to remember what it all meant.

Thanks G-G

I understand... it only gets better with age.

We write (in a form of shorthand -- no spaces) only enough to remember the cache. Upon uploading the field notes, before submitting as an actual log, we edit that shorthand into a full log.

Trying to create a full log on a GPSr device -- forget it.
