My Links Don't Work

Hey everyone!! I was wondering you guys could possible help me out with something. When I get my Geocache emails (let's say, for example, a new cache is posted) I cannot open the links. I will click on the link, and I get a page that asks if I want to view with "Geocaching Application" or "Geocaching Web Site" but when I click the app link, I get the following message: "Cannot Open Page. Safari cannot open the page b/c the address in invalid." Now before you ask the obvious, YES I have the Geocaching Intro app, and YES I am signed into that app. Can anyone explain to me why I'm having this error, or more importantly, help me fix it?

 

Additionally, how long does it take a newly posted cache to show up on the app? I noticed that it was not instant today, and by the time my phone had updated to show the location of the new cache, someone had already logged FTF.

Because you have the intro app. It will only show caches deemed good for beginners. You will need the paid app (or a third party app) to see all caches.

Once a cache is published its open to the app and website alike. I've never seen a delay- again probably due to you using the Intro app.

I do have this enabled already. When I get one of these emails, I can't click on the link Hence the first problem of links saying the address is invalid.

Looks like I mis-read something. Are you getting emails as an email- through the gmail app for example, or are you getting them as a text message? If it's coming in as text message, some carriers limit the amount of characters,'if it's exceed it will be cut off. That means you're not getting the full link, and therefore there is no page to load. For example to get her go to forums.Groundspeak.com but if it's cut off and I get forums.grou it doesn't take me anywhere.

I'm getting emails from the generic Mail app on my iPhone. When I click on the link (ie, New Cache #: GCXXXX) - it takes me to Safari and the rest happens.

The reason that it doesn't work is that you don't actually have the "Geocaching App" installed. Rather, you have the "Geocaching Intro App". As far as I've been able to determine, there's no way to open coord.info links directly into the Intro App. On the previous version of the choice page (where it asks if you want to open with the app or browser), there were images of each and it was much more clear. Now it just has the ambiguous "Geocaching Application".
