Whom do I ask permission to place them?? Thanks!! Where in the Twin Cities? I don't have a specific place staked out yet, but I was considering St Paul/West since it's lacking a bit. Though one is large so I need a big, juicy spot for it. Quote Link to comment

But if you have a cache to hide but don't have a location, perhaps you need to get out and cache more and scout a nice location. Larger caches should be in larger parks. Consider parks at the county level. Quote Link to comment

I would also visit http://mngca.org/ Once you have a place in mind, review the specific guidelines for the area (city, county, park system, etc) you are hoping to hide in. (http://mngca.org/guidelines) And, as always, be sure to get things all set up via the "Hide A Geocache" column at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ Quote Link to comment

+narcissa
Regardless of where you are, it works like this: Find a spot you like. Find out who owns the land. Ask them. Quote Link to comment

So if I put a micro under a lamp post in a Walmart parking lot, I ask Walmart? Or a lamp post on a boulevard? The City? Quote Link to comment

Nope, not gonna do that. Just an example! Guess I just don't picture all those who placed LPCs got permission to do so. I'll figure it out. Somehow. Some way... Quote Link to comment

Well, when they submitted the cache listing, they all clicked on the box indicating that they have adequate permission for the hide. If they didn't seek adequate permission first, they lied.
