+arted123
Hello all, how you going? I have been struggling with this code/puzzle and thought I would send the cache reference number out into internet land on the off chance someone could give me a little bit of help! I have little to no experience with puzzles like this and am truly stuck. Could anyone point me in the right direction? You dont have to solve it for me though! Cheers in advance, my kind caching friends! Edited September 4, 2014 by Keystone Cache name and GC Code removed by moderator Quote Link to comment
+WarNinjas
Asking for puzzle help here is usually frowned upon from what I have seen but there are facebook pages out there that are willing to help. In time they get easier...well a little. We always struggle with them. Hope someone can help you out because we are not much help when it comes to puzzle solves! Quote Link to comment
+niraD
According to section 2-D of the geocaching.com terms of use, "You agree not to: [...] xxiii. Publish on our websites the solutions, hints, spoilers, or any hidden coordinates for any geocache without consent from the geocache owner.” However, here are some general puzzle tips (based in part on a puzzle-solving class event presented by The Rat a while ago): Identify the theme. Check the cache title, the hint, the HTML source, the graphics (including names/URLs), any links (including URLs), whatever is at the posted coordinates, etc. If you can figure out the theme, then you should look for numbering systems that are associated with that theme (zip codes, athletes’ jersey numbers, episode numbers, product codes, etc.). Around here, coordinates will have 15 digits, and will look like "N 37° xx.xxx W 122° xx.xxx". So when I'm solving a nearby puzzle, I look for a group of 15 things, and then I look for ways to get the digits 37xxxxx122xxxxx from them. In general, I look for ways to get the number 37 (or the digits 3 and 7) from something near the beginning of the puzzle, and the number 122 (or the digits 1, 2, and 2) from something near the middle of the puzzle. (Of course, you'll need to adjust this for the coordinates near you.) +steben6
Good advice above. And don't be afraid to email the CO of the cache and ask for a hint or help. Most puzzle cache hiders want people to find their caches, and are willing to help out. Quote Link to comment

+NYPaddleCacher
Ah, ok then. Thanks for the response! Thought it was a long shot but i'd ask anyway! The other thing you can do is contact other local geocachers that have not yet solved it and see if any are interesting in collaborating on trying to solve it. It's a fun way to work on a puzzle, you can learn from each other, and is really no different than a couple of more people going out together to find some traditional caches. Quote Link to comment

I found a website that claims to only post archived puzzle solutions and solving, but they don't. Many I see belong to live ones. Some friends of mine said they have found my puzzles listed on these sites, no one asked my permission. Quote Link to comment
