Banners

Hi Everyone

Does anyone know how I can adjust my banners so that they become all about the same size and fit nicely.

Thanks xx

May be better to save the image somewhere else, and re-size it yourself.

Or.

Depends if GS script manager (or whatever it's called) allows it.

But http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_img_width.asp is a start.

The banners in your profile? Do you have graphics software to edit images (doesn't have to be a very fancy one)? Resize the banners as you like, then save them all together in one image. A "GIF" image if you want the animations.

No, I don't edit anything.

Here is an example:

<a title="Wiejese Wiskunde" href="http://coord.info/GC467B0"><img src="http://img.geocaching.com/5033be20-63c6-435a-89c2-b3e7be991300.jpg" style="width: 180px; height: 60px; border: 2px solid #000;"></a>

This is the code:

<a title="Wiejese Wiskunde" href="http://coord.info/GC467B0"><img src="http://img.geocaching.com/5033be20-63c6-435a-89c2-b3e7be991300.jpg" style="width: 180px; height: 60px; border: 2px solid #000;"></a>

3 points of interest:

1. the part with coord.info is you have to fill the location of the cache.

2. the part with img src="http ... jpg" is to be changed with the location of the image of the banner.

3. The part starting with style = where you set the size of the picture in your profile. The sizes I have chosen (180/60) is something I feel comfortable with, so I have 4 pictures in a row on my profile. But be free to choose different.

Now there is one issue left. I have set everything to 180 x 60 px. However, not every picture is in that standard. So here and there it will look like a picture being stretched or cropped. Compare it with the tv-screen when you have something set to 'fill screen'. This is a choice I have made with setting standard sizes. But you may experiment to choose different.
