My finds PQ differs from the total on gc.com

When I download My finds and put them into GSAK I find that there are 7 fewer finds in GSAK than appear on gc.com.

 

Any ideas?

Have you placed any of your found caches on the ignore list within GSAK?

 

I assume you know you've double-logged some caches?

 

Sometimes a discrepancy is explained by Lab Caches but I see you've not logged any of those.

Problem solved.

 

For some reason some of my found caches were on my GSAK ignore list.

 

The three listed as double-logged are a bit more complex. They are part of a series that was published on gc.com and opencaching. Some were on gc,com, some were on opencaching and some were on both. The CO moved them all to gc.com, so the three that were on both, and were logged on both must have had their logs transferred from opencaching to gc.com causing the double-logging.

 

I will sort this out later.

Right. Sorted. Two were as I suggested above. One was a mistake on my part. Logged one in 2006 and then it was logged again in 2010 with a different entry.

Be aware. Having imported the My Finds PQ into GSAK, even though you have deleted the logs at Groundspeaks end, the double logs will still be in GSAK unless you delete the database and import a new PQ.

I panicked went to your profile | quick view | your finds | found it and there was a shortfall of 3 - but that coincides with the number of events I've attended, whic I think and hope covers it!

I am not sure about this. Mine was due to accidental double logging due to transfers from Opencaching to gc.com. Events are counted as finds.

 

The only downside is that the special cache that I did for my 2000th is now not my 2000th find! :-(

Groundspeak allows you to 'Lock' a special milestone cache, if you're only counting GS caches, and GSAK also 'locks' caches for those in a list. (GSAK is Usort column)
