Block Party Adventure

Hi everyone! I am attending the Block Party this year for the first time, and I probably sound really noobish by asking this, but: how does everyone with a GPSr download the cache event information into their unit if it's not available until the time the event starts? Do you all bring laptops with you? Or do you just rely on your phones?

 

I have (up until today) been using an app on my Android based phone for finding/logging my caches. I've only found 40 so far, so I feel I'm very new to it compared to most people's seemingly 1,000+ logs. The phone worked really well most of the time, but I hated the humongous battery drain it caused. I purchased an Oregon 450 so I could use it for this event and all caches afterward. Obviously saving new caches into my phone, or even looking at them, is a piece of cake with a 4G connection while I'm out and about. What I'm stupidly wondering, though, is how do I obtain information for things that haven't launched yet? I'm assuming I will just need to go back to my phone for this, and that's a real bummer.
