I was looking for one like that recently and ended up DNF'ing it. I later found out that it had fallen out of its spot in a tree and was run over by a lawn mower. If I was looking for confetti I might have spotted it.

I found one just like that the only thing that survived was the little baggie with the log. The rest of the cache was Tupperware dust.

The very first TB I ever found was in pieces under a pine tree on a recently-mowed park lawn. I assembled all the pieces on a new chain and sent it on its way (where it is still in play):

I'd found caches that had been run over by bulldozers, crushed by falling trees, and chopped up by bushhogs. The cache containers ranged from barely scraped to pancaked.

I just had the fallen tree problem with both legs of the same cache within 2 months of each other. Need a better plan - I can say noone has mowed over one of mine yet - they usually find a steal.
