Big Yac
I have one of the old blue Etrex Legends. How do I go about adding the maps from open street maps? Do I need mapsource or something like that? Quote Link to comment
+ADKer
When you say "old" do you mean the HCx model? Or the old, old model? You don't need any special programs. Go here and download what you'd like. I have once used and old, old legend, but I never put maps on it. If it's like my new eTrex, you should just be able to put the file in the unit and be all set. If you have any more questions, just ask! Quote Link to comment
+Gitchee-Gummee
The specs -- included in this linky says that it will accept maps. The problem is the serial interface. You will need a serial/USB adapter cord -- unless you have a really old computer that still uses serial ports. Quote Link to comment
+tomtwogates
I think that this has a USB connection - believe my yellow Etrex is the only one with a serial connection. I have loaded OSM to a Vista (similar to the Legend) via mapsource Quote Link to comment
