Megellan Explorist 610 and mac computer

I just got a Megellan 610 as a gift and I am having issues trying to load pocket queries onto this thing.

 

I updated the software, downloaded the communicator for mac about 5 times and cannot find it anywhere in my system and when I plug it to my mac no icon shows up on my desktop either.

 

Can someone please help before this becomes a cache in the bottom of the ocean?
