BearsFan11
I am planning on listing a waymark but I don't know what category to place it in. It is the county's first mill wheel. There was an mill in that location but it is no longer there. There is no building, only the wheel. Any thoughts? Thank you for the help. Edited July 26, 2014 by BearsFan11 Quote Link to comment

fi67
I would try "Water Mills", if there is a plaque on site "First of its Kind", if not "Superlatives". Quote Link to comment

fi67
Now I am confused, I thought it is about a mill wheel, isn't it? If it is a wheel, then the millstone category is wrong. Quote Link to comment
jhuoni
I see you posted your "wheel" to the Millstone category. WMM5QE You confused some of us by calling it a "wheel". When I read you message I envisioned a water wheel, the device used to convert flowing water into mechanical energy. What you had was a millstone or a grindstone. Regardless, congrats on your FIRST WAYMARK, they get easier from here! FYI: There is a category for ALMOST everything out there. The trick is figuring out which one. You made a good call by asking here. Quote Link to comment
The A-Team
Millstones? http://www.Waymarking.com/cat/details.aspx?f=1&guid=90fa5600-fced-4dc1-886b-fe1c01d95cdf Thanks for that link. I came across a millstone a few months ago, and did a search of the categories from the field to find out what the posting requirements were, but couldn't find a millstone category. I could have sworn one existed, but none comes up in the search. Now that I know one does exist, I'll go back to take pictures of the millstone and plaque. It would be really nice if the search could be fixed so it would find ALL categories and Waymarks. Quote Link to comment
