Garmin Oregon 650T

Recommended Posts

On my 550t, I would expect your 650 to be the same, I have to briefly press and release the Power button as you say. This brings up a slider to adjust the brightness. On my unit this is quite easy as it takes a long press to turn the unit off. Perhaps you are pressing the button for too long?

This is the way I do it on my Oregon 650.

Check Setup -> System -> Configure Keys -> Power Key -> Single Tap and make sure it is set to Status Page.

I think that was the problem. I reset to this and it works. I was probably playing to much with the settings befoe I figured it out.

Thanks! So far I really like the Oregon
