dassbaba
Hi there, have any of you been hiking/geocaching in wisconsin? If so how about any of the state parks? Any favorites you have or fun experiences? http://dassbaba.clanrk.com Quote Link to comment
+timberlane74 & pumpkin
Personally I've always enjoyed Nicolet National Forest... Never say Never...Never say Always! Quote Link to comment
+Team Kilroy
I like the southwest area for Geocaching. Both Governer Dodge & Devils Lake come to mind, as we have been to event caches at each of these parks, hense doing lots of caching in each park. Team Kilroy was here! Quote Link to comment
+Muskytooth
Pennisula Park in Door County and then Interstate Park in Polk County. Opposite sides of the state but both are well worth the drive. Pennisula State Park is beautiful with the high cliffs and old woods not to mention Lake Michigan (or the Bay of Green Bay to get technical). And Interstate park as huge rock cliffs with potholes the St. Croix River made in the rock millions of years ago......or at least sometime before I was born. Hook'em hard, Muskytooth Hermits have no peer pressure. Quote Link to comment
+kbraband
Walter, if you like scenery to go along with your geocache hunts, you can't beat Gov. Dodge State Park or Devil's Lake State Park. Check my caches at Gov. Dodge: The Shocking Truth About Henry at http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=27501 I Dare You at: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=23184 And at Devil's Lake, Devil's Lake Revisited: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=17688 If you haven't already done so, please visit the website for the Wisconsin Geocaching Association at http://www.wi-geocaching.com Hope to see you out on the trails! +Geo-Johnson's
Our absolute favorites so far are: Devils Lake.......it's a MUST see Interstate State Park...........fun hiking Amnicon Falls State Park....crowded on the weekends but still a really neat park If visiting any of these parks, I would plan to spend at least a few hours. Devils lake is an entire day.......... Children are natural mimics who act like their parents despite every effort to teach them good manners. Quote Link to comment

You're right, Miller Park is another great Wisconsin park -- THEE finest ballpark in the Midwest. Cubbies running the bases there are merely a temporary nuisance. Quote Link to comment
