+antra
Hello! I have a problem. Just today I loaded another .gpx file into my Garmin and I noticed that every mystery cache now is shown with an unopened box icon (kind of a default symbol for any geocache) and NOT with the familiar blue-question-mark. I haven`t changed anything in my Garmin. Does anyone know what could be the problem and more importantly - how can I get back that lovely blue-question-mark for unknown caches? Everywhere I look, people are trying to make their own symbols for caches, but for me the default ones are okay. I just want that symbol back! Thank you in advance! antra Quote Link to comment

+HHL
Moin Antra, GS changed the content of their GPX files. Open your GPX files with a text editior and do a "Search and Replace" Search for: <type>Geocache|Mystery Cache</type> Replace with: <type>Geocache|Unknown Cache</type> Search for: <Groundspeak:type>Mystery Cache</Groundspeak:type> Replace with: <Groundspeak:type>Unknown Cache</Groundspeak:type> Frohes Jagen Hans Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
Must be a recent change, as my PQ's from last week don't have this problem. If Groundspeak did change the type, the icon change might appear in the next Garmin firmware update. Quote Link to comment

Right now all Mystery caches are shown as Traditional Some changes, but not what I wanted My friend has the same problem, so I was wondering - maybe we are not the only ones and it is really and "inside" problem. Any other ideas how to get back these blue question marks? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Walts Hunting
The problem was GS changing it in the GPX file. That has apparently been changed back. They broke all third party software and gps filtering. If you used quick filter for mystery nothing would show since they didn't exist. Quote Link to comment
