humboldt flier Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Are the maps on the fritz again? Second time in the past six days. No caches showing up. Anyone got a quick fix? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Quote

BikeBill Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 They've been temperamental for me over the last few days, too. Sometimes the cache icons don't show up. Sometimes they do but nothing happens when I click on them. Later on, things work okay. Maybe the hamsters need energy bars or something. Quote
colleda Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Ditto. As well as not being able to send to GPS from map, covered elsewhere here but perhaps related? Quote
popokiiti Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Same here, fine yesterday...should have loaded caches for our mini break then! Quote
Gitchee-Gummee Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Ditto. As well as not being able to send to GPS from map, covered elsewhere here but perhaps related? Don't use send from the map. Use it from the cache page. According to the Frog, that still works. Yes, there is something broken with the maps programming. Edit to add: Send from that cache page was in reference to "GPX file" button. Dunno 'bout the others. Odd though, so many complaints about differing things... I wonder if the whole site might crash. Pup Patrol Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 I've posted in the thread in the appropriate Website forum: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=322369&st=0&gopid=5382429entry5382429 Everything was fine up to a few hours ago, for me. B. Quote
DragonsWest Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Any theories why I continue to get distance in metres on maps? I'm in that backward country, which cast off the shackles of imperial tyranny, but still bases things on the length of some king's foot. Edited May 19, 2014 by DragonsWest Quote
