+polarismagic
I had to update my computer and now I am not able to get the explorist GC to cooperate. I have it connected to the PC but when I try to send it to my GPS it won't even allow me to check for my device. Quote Link to comment

If the Download button, next to the check device button is greyed out, you can get to a download page directly from Magellan via the "click here" links to learn more about the Magellan Communicator (there's one for PC, one for Mac). Mr.Yuck
Yes I have tried to redownload the Magellan communicator and still nothing. Sorry, I don't check this sub forum very often. Assuming Windows, how about finding The Magellan Communicator in "add/remove programs", and getting rid of it there too before redownloading? When the MC randomly started acting up on me after working flawlessly for 2 years, I had to reinstall it about 3 times before it worked perfectly again. Knock on wood. Quote Link to comment
Mr.Yuck
Also keep in mind the Magellan Communicator is (best I know) a browser plugin. So hit the rounds with Firefox, IE, and chrome, again assuming Windows. Quote Link to comment

Although, I use the GC just like a standard flash drive. (copying Geocache record GPX to the Geocaches directory of the GC, and child waypoints gpx file to the Waypoints directory.) Also, make sure the GC is still in Connect To Computer. the MNEA and Power-Only modes do not allow access to the flash memory. Quote Link to comment
