onestep off
I have a new cache to place and I am wondering if I should wait to place it, log it until there is a big snow storm, or big melt on the way? My tracks would show the hunters right were it is. What are your opinions? Please take everything I post with an MDOT trucks load of salt! Quote Link to comment
+Smitherington
I planted one over the holidays but I waited until the snow was melted. I did not want to give it away. I also found and re-hid a traveling geocache. I did not wait until the snow was gone to hid it. But when the snow was melted I went back in and hid it better. I prefer no snow. Quote Link to comment
Dinoprophet
You could do what Trippy did on his new hide -- leave tracks everywhere! Mein Vater war ein Wandersmann, und ich hab' auch im Blut Quote Link to comment
umc
Yes, just spend some extra time tromping around to throw off any track followers. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So far so good, somewhat new owner of a second/new Garmin GPS V 20 plus finds so far with little to no problem. umc
I was planning on placing my 4th cache on Sunday until I got the flu. I would have placed it regardless of the snow coming or not to cover up my tracks. I guess the main reason is that it will only effect the first finder. Once they make it to your cache then it would be their tracks, not yours. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So far so good, somewhat new owner of a second/new Garmin GPS V 20 plus finds so far with little to no problem.
