Nice!

Today we did a T5 Multi (no name, because I don't want to spoil) high up in the mountains:

My only real T5. Wolf Rock, Oregon. There's a class 2-3 route (and maybe that sort of disqualifies it as a "true" T5), but it was by far the most technical stuff I've ever attempted. Wolf Rock

Wow, looks dangerous. No safety bonds used?

No, I don't think anyone uses safety gear on the Class 2-3 route (or at least it seems that way from the logs/photos). There are class 5 routes up the rock for real rock climbers, and after experiencing the headiness of being up top, I've toyed with the idea of taking some classes to learn how to really climb. I loved it. Was scared *less, but loved it.

@Touchstone: Great climbing spot!

Here are two climbing pictures, one from training and the other picture from a possible future geocache.

This was one of my scariest climbs ever. The route was getting too difficult for me, so I had to cross to an easier route about 5-6 meters diagonal.

As I reached the bolt the belt friction was so strong that I hardly couldn't hang in the rope, but in the end I did it. Better don't image the possible fall.

OK, if we're going to play that game ;) Here's an alternate to the cable approach to GC9614:

Edit to add: There's actually some real advantages to approaching the virtual this way, least of which is no permit/lottery required. Weekends can still be crowded on the route, but weekdays are usually pretty casual.

Bushwacker, and older 5/5 in Ontario. Probably not up to some of today's 5T standards, but it was a significant hike, and wow was it a beautiful hike in perfect weather! 3 of us did the all day hike in and out January 1st :)

(I've actually done this hike twice now too)
