+lumbricus
Hi, let's collect pictures you made early in the morning and/or late at the evening while geocaching! +Viajero Perdido
East slope of the Rockies gets the morning sun. Here are a couple of shots from random campsites in secret hidden locations - that conveniently have caches nearby. Just down the road from this cache. Alberta was overcast, but a horizontal sunbeam snuck underneath from Saskatchewan until it found something to hit - the Rockies. Quote Link to comment
7rxc
Looking East from the North Star trail - M.T. Spot cache GC33EVW. Quite chilly that early morning... a while back now. That will do til I find the larger version... I think it's on my disabled computer... ha ha. Anyway got that cache that morning, and nearly frostbite... 0745 and -5C on the way into Cranbrook for breakfast. Allways liked the clouds, I turned a cropped and 'enhanced colour' version into my FB cover. Doug 7rxc 1 Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
...nearly frostbite ... -5C... Lordy, you guys are soft on the warm side of the Rockies. Reminds me, I need another caching trip to Cranbrook and area. There are SO many great caches out that way, and I've only scratched the surface. Road trip season is coming up fast... PS, when I return, I'll try to snag this campsite again: (Evening light, notice how I kept it on-topic?) Recognize it, Doug? Edited May 8, 2014 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

Somewhere up the northern end of Horseshoe Lake... looking north, but I'm not sure of where you were taking it. Yet. I did a panorama from the south end for Pattycat's Annual GC Event #8... GC27N1M But that would be getting off topic, though it was early in the morning I think... or late in the day. As for the hands, I didn't have any problems, it just felt that way holding the aluminum bodied camera with no gloves... ha. Warmed up quickly after that photo. Doug 7rxc Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Bingo. Primo campsite (south end I think), at Pattycat's #9. Aah, I'll miss those... Okay, back to topic. I love camping beside rivers. Dusk, dawn: Edited May 8, 2014 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

+wmpastor
I don't get to the Rocky Mountains every day, so here's a photo by a lake in a suburban office park. It takes on a special quality at dusk. Quote Link to comment
+hzoi
When we first started caching, I was commuting every day from Wiesbaden to Darmstadt, Germany, and I found that I enjoyed the commute more if I did it early and then used my spare time geocaching rather than stuck in traffic on the Autobahn. This is the second photo I took on my way to a cache, catching sunrise en route to TUD Lichtwiese. Nearly eight years later, I don't have quite as much time to go caching as I did, but when I can, I still enjoy watching the sun rise. I caught this beautiful scene just prior to finding The Cache at Cache Creek, which began a 2-day cache run to finish up qualifying for the Oklahoma county and Delorme challenges. Side note: Cache Creek was named for the primarily Kiowan supply caches that early white settlers kept finding buried in the banks of the creek; the town Cache, home of the cache I have the most fun referencing here on the forums, is named for the creek.
