+ladybearbc
Costco has this on sale right now. I am working with a Nuvi 550 - which has pretty much outlived its use as a caching GPS. Any feedback on this model. I had my eye on the Dakota and Oregons last year - but don't think this was in the mix Thank you Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
I've had a 62s (the 62sc has a camera) for 8 months and like it. Having all the cache data on board is nice (my first geocaching unit), you can also load pictures from the cache. The screen is smaller than the Nuvi's so it's not as nice for car navigation, but not bad. Of course, it was just replaced by the 64 series... Quote Link to comment
+van der Decken
The 62sc is a very nice unit. I have one and have nothing but praise for it. At that sale price, you can't go wrong. Just don't ever handle it with DEET mosquito repellent on your hands; the rubber on the case will start peeling off and it just won't stop! I found that out the hard way with a 62s... +Dr. House
... the rubber on the case will start peeling off and it just won't stop! This seems to be a bit of an recurring theme from those I know who've owned that device. The screen resolution also doesn't seem to be as sharp as the Oregon/Montana models for my tastes, but otherwise it seems to be a solid unit. Quote Link to comment
+Pondpuck
Just ordered one this week... Fun thing about Costco, Try it out! You don't like it, just return it! Reviews are good on it. And for the price, seems to be a lot better than the eTrex 20! Quote Link to comment
